Distant Lights

This picture shows the lights of a distant town seen through trees on a winter evening. It is a study for an important part of a larger painting which depicts the road into town on a winter evening. This painting is built-up in multiple washes to create the moonlight in contrast to the silhouette of the trees and the twinkling lights beyond.
