A View Down The Dale

Created as a study for a private commission, this painting shows the view looking north, down Bishopdale towards Richmond in the Yorkshire Dales. This picture shows the view, on a high summer day when the west slopes of the dale are caught in high sunlight whilst the eastern slopes are in shade. The edge of Kidstones Bank is in the foreground, shaded by the copse of trees.
